Welcome to Down South Drivers. By booking our tours or driver services, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Consent

  • By booking a Tour with Down South Drivers (via phone, text, email, booking system, or otherwise), you have agreed to the following terms & conditions.

2. Quotes & Validity

  • All quotes are valid for 28 days from the date of the quote, based on the information you provided. We reserve the right to re-quote should passenger numbers, itinerary requirements, pick-up or drop-off locations, or any other detail change at any time.

  • All prices are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST.
    We reserve the right to, at any time, modify (increase or decrease) the advertised prices for our transportation or tours due to circumstances beyond our control. 

  • Should this occur, you will be contacted, advised & offered the most suitable alternative at that time or a full refund if you are unhappy with the proposed solution.

3. Tour Bookings

  • All quotes include the Vehicle, Driver, Fuel, insurance, and GST, where applicable. 

  • We are happy to prepare an itinerary tailored to our clients' needs. 

  • If you have chosen your own tour venues, it is your responsibility to notify the venues of your itinerary and visiting times. We are happy to assist in recommending venues for your itinerary.

  • Any Tastings, lunch, morning tea, or afternoon tea costs are not included in quotations and must be arranged by guests in advance.

4. Booking Conditions, Payments & Refunds.

  • At the time of reservation or booking, a deposit of 50% in $AUD is required by bank transfer to secure your transport, dates & times.

  • We also offer & accept all usual retail industry payment options & platforms. 

  • You can also make alternate payment arrangements by contacting us direct via phone on (0461-583-010) to discuss your preferred option(s) should you need to.

  • Full Payment is required 14 days before the transportation, tour or event date, unless a prior agreement is in place.


    Note:

  • A refund of 50% will be given if the booking is cancelled within 7 days of the transportation, tour or event date.

    Please note:

  • A booking fee of 1.7% will be charged for any credit card payments.

  • Cancellation

    The following terms and conditions apply to all bookings made with Down South Drivers.

    All requests to modify or cancel a booking, must be made by contacting us via email ( Hello@Downsouthdrivers.com.au ).

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

By the Guest:

  • Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the tour date will receive a full refund.

  • Cancellations made between 1- & 7- days prior to the tour date will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

  • By Down South Drivers: We reserve the right to cancel tours due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full refund or alternative date will be offered.

6. Departure & Return Locations.

  • Our Door-to- Door pickup service operates within approximately 10kms of local townships, these include Busselton, Dunsborough, Cowaramup, Gracetown & North of Margaret River. 

  • If you do not provide a pickup address at the time of booking, we will assume that you will need to be picked-up & Dropped-off from the centre of the townships listed above outside their Tourist Information offices.

7. Departure & Return Drop-off Times

  • Please ensure that your departure times & return drop-off times on your quotation are correct, we reserve the right to charge an hourly rate or part thereof outside quoted times & locations should you make any last-minute changes or deviations.

8. Zero Tolerance policy:

  • Down South Drivers reserve the absolute right, to terminate a tour due to intoxication, or anti-social behaviour of any participant of a tour. No refund shall be payable if a tour is cancelled in such circumstances.

  • Guests who are tasting or consuming alcohol on a tour must be 18+ years of age and should not be under any substance influence(s) prior to joining the tour.

  • Western Australian liquor laws require that wineries refuse service of alcohol to anyone who is intoxicated. If you become intoxicated, we will ask that you refrain from tasting or drinking for a suitable period. 

  • If you become abusive towards our staff, other patrons or the winery staff we will return you to your accommodation immediately. 

  • Intoxicated persons will not be tolerated, and Down South Driver staff have the right to request persons from refrain from consuming excessive alcohol throughout the day.

  • Intoxicated guests may be immediately removed from the tour and we will assist them to arrange to be returned to their accommodation at their own cost.

  • Thank you for understanding that we have a duty of care to you and everyone else we interact with throughout the day.

9. Delays

  • All reasonable efforts will be made, Down South Drivers takes no responsibility for loss, damage, or inconvenience resulting from itinerary delays.

  • On rare occasions, due to unforeseen circumstances, Down South Drivers may need to adjust the tour itinerary at short notice. Should this happen, you will be advised, given reasoning & offered the most suitable alternatives available at that time.

10. Client pick-up Locations

  • Before the day of departure, the client will supply written directions (preferably accompanied by a map), along with the name and phone number of the contact person at each pickup point. Pick-up times are approximate only due to possible delays caused by traffic, poor road conditions, and/or adverse weather.

11. Luggage, Property and Personal Items

  • Down South Drivers will take extreme care in handling and stowing all passengers’ luggage and equipment. However, we are not responsible for the loss or damage of such items. 

  • Down South Drivers takes no responsibility for any goods or possessions left on the bus at the end of the day. If items are left on the bus are requested to be returned / sent via post, a $25 administrative fee will apply.

  • All Post & packaging charges to be advise to & paid by the customer prior to dispatch.

14. In Vehicle Food & Refreshments

A prior agreement must be made before consuming any food or non-alcoholic drinks in our vehicles.

  • Alcohol Consumption

    Consumption of alcohol inside our vehicles is prohibited by WA state law.

  • Cleaning and Damages fees.

    By booking a tour with Down South Drivers, you agree to reimburse us for any damages or the necessity for additional cleaning (spillage of food / drinks etc), caused by any persons or pet(s) during transit.

    Any passenger suffering a vomitus event and/or creating wilful excessive mess is liable for a $175.00 cleaning fee for each occurrence.  

15. Children & Child seating terms & conditions:

  • Child seats.

    Down South Drivers does not supply child seating or seats for transit, this due to the vast product range availability, quality & durability standards & individual customer preference variations. 

    Passenger safety is our highest priority for everyone travelling with us and we have a duty of care to make sure all possible measures are undertaken to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation.

    We thank you for kindly understanding our approach on this matter.

    Our vehicles are fitted with industry standard ISO seat anchors to ensure the ANCAP five-star installation fixings are available for you.

    We are happy for you to supply your own child seat(s) provided they are ISO fixing compliant & undamaged.

  • Please note:

    Guests are fully responsible for the correct installation & removal of their own child seats.

  • Seat damages:

    Any passenger seating damage caused by the installation or removal of your child seat will be the responsibility of the guest. 

    You will be liable for any costs associated with upholstery repairs that are required to return the vehicle to its original condition.

  • Guests with Dogs & Other pets.

    Release and indemnifies Down South Drivers, its employees, contractors, agents and representatives against any and all claims or actions of any kind arising from any Injury sustained by the Dog or inflicted by the Dog upon any other dog or any humans throughout the duration of the Transportation, Tour or Event, and the guest shall be solely responsible for all damages and costs incurred as a result of any Injury.

    Guests acknowledge and accept the inherent risk of injury and spread of illness between dogs due to the transportation near each other.

    Guests release and indemnify Down South Drivers against all liability resulting from any accident, injury or illness sustained by any dog or human because of the transportation of the dogs near each other.

    Guests responsible for pets must be 18 years of age or over and able to provide suitable identification if requested.

    Guests undertake to advise Down South Drivers of any medical condition, medication or treatment the dog may be undertaking prior to & during transportation, tours or events.

    Guests with pets will ensure that prior to booking the transportation, tour or event that they are in good physical health and up to date on all worming, flea treatment and applicable vaccinations.

    Ensure that the animal is not suffering from any contagious illness, such as kennel cough, and has not displayed any symptoms of a contagious illness prior to the transportation, tour or event.

    Does not have a history of behavioural problems or aggression that may pose a risk to other dogs, animals or humans.

    Is well socialized with other animals and will be able to cope, in close proximity to other dogs, animals and humans during transit & for extended periods of time
